"Independent" actually took a study that looked into happiness, and these were some of the things that make us happy:

  • Spending time with family
  • Enjoying your favorite hobby
  • Sleeping well (following Time Change Weekend ahem)
  • Having time to yourself
  • Spending more time outdoors
  • Exercising

The study found respondents spent less than 30 minutes a day doing things which make them happy.


The survey also found 95 per cent of respondents believed making enough time for the "good stuff" and things you enjoy is important for leading a happy life.
