After a couple of days of smokeless days, the winds are expected to change and more smoke from the wildfires in Canada is expected to move into New York again.

The smoke could cause air quality issues like we saw last week when parts of New York were under unhealthy air quality conditions.

According to Accuweather, the smoke won't stay long either, as a shift in the winds will reduce the amount of smoke over the US skies.

Most of the smoke will stay higher in the air and that should help air quality across the state.

Most of the state will be under moderate air quality conditions starting on Thursday and lasting until the weekend. People with respiratory issues should use caution when outside over the next couple of days.
