It's one of the best Western New York traditions this time of year -- the Ellicottville Fall Festival.

The festival is set to take place this weekend, according to Step Out Buffalo. The area is absolutely gorgeous, with vibrant fall foliage everywhere and it's in the mountains of the southern tier.

The venue is expecting tens of thousands of people to visit Ellicottville this year for the food, crafts show, carnival rides, live entertainment and more.

...and yes, plenty of of those brilliant fall colors to see throughout the area!

The festival offers a shuttle bus to points of Ellicottville during the festival for a $3 charge. It's an easy way to get around.

It all kicks off in Ellicottville on Friday night, October 11th and runs until 5 p.m. on Sunday. The festival opens at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

If you want to see the full schedule of events and a map of the festival, you can visit the Elliocottville Fall Festival website.

Ellicottville is anywhere from a 45 minute to an hour drive from the Buffalo metro, just drive south down the 219!
