You have heard of Jack & Jills, stags, and different bachelor parties, but this is a new one in Western New York, and it’s really catching on for new parents.

When you are becoming a parent for the first time, there is a lot of unknown. All that you really know for sure is that it a) can be expensive and b) takes up a lot of your time, so you may not be able to do all the things that you have been doing for the last several years.

That is why one soon-to-be dad came up with a new kind of celebration that is making waves in Western New York.

A dadchelor party.

He accidentally told the world his genius idea when he asked the Buffalo subReddit for party venue ideas.

“Hey Buffalo dads, looking for venue ideas for a diaper party, low cost and planning requirements preferred. Has anyone tried axe throwing for this type of event? Maybe backyard shenanigans are best bet but just thought I'd ask the pros.”

Could you imagine having a dad-themed party to celebrate parenthood?

You’d have to have cornhole there, right? And the only way you’re allowed to enter the party is if you are wearing shoes just like these:

At the party, you’d have to play some music, yeah? Do the Hokey Pokey?

And all the other dads in attendance would have to train the dad-to-be on his dad joke game. “I used to be addicted to the hokey pokey, but then I turned myself around,” the new dad would learn to say as soon as he heard the opening notes for the hokey pokey.

I could go on and on with how to create a perfect dadchelor party, but I’ll leave that to the dads around the world to plan.

But it sounds like ax throwing could be an easy go-to idea.
