There is one thing that everyone from Western New York can agree on.

We are all really proud to be from Buffalo and the 716 and most of us wear our roots as a badge of honor, but there are some unwritten rules that you have to follow.

Whether you agree with them or not, you know there are certain things you never do in public if you are from Buffalo because if you do, you could be cast outside the tribe.

Here 5 Ways You Could Have Your "I'm From Buffalo" Card Revoked.

USE RANCH DRESSING ON YOUR WINGS

Blue Cheese is not for everyone, but if you are from Western New York you can't be caught dipping your wings in ranch. Wings were invented here, they were first dunked in blue cheese here, and they will always be linked to blue cheese until the day we die. If you are caught using ranch, you mind as well move to Rochester.

NOT USING THE WORD "THE" WHEN SAYING MAJOR HIGHWAYS

No one in Western New York drives along I-90 or I-290. We all drive along The 90, The 290, and The 33. If you are giving directions and tell someone to take I-90 west to Erie, you might as well pack your bags and hop in the car with them.

ROOT FOR TOM BRADY

Ok...I get it, he is the greatest football player of all time, but if you are from Buffalo you CAN'T root for the guy. He was a major source of the playoff drought and even though he left New England, you still can't root for him. It would be like rooting for the snow during a blizzard.

NOT KNOW HOW TO PRONOUCE NORTH TONAWANDA, CHEEKTOWAGA, AND SCAJAQUADA

These are all names that when you are born in Western New York, your brain automatically knows how to say. Also as a Buffalonian, you know all their shortcuts as well. N.T, Cheektowvegas, and The 198. If you don't...the Peace Bridge is just around the corner.

DON'T RESPOND TO A "GO BILLS" WITH A "GO BILLS"

Just like in Hawaii, where they say Ahola means hello and goodbye, "Go Bills" means hello, goodbye, I love you, and more to someone from Buffalo. If you are out and about and someone says "Go Bills" to you, you should say it right back. If not, you might as well take your ranch and Brady jersey and head out on I-290 past Tan-oh-wand-ah and call yourself a resident of the City.
