It is going to be a very windy day across New York State.

Much of the state is under a wind advisory today where we could see wind speeds between 20-30 miles per hour and gusts reaching 50-60 miles per hour.


This is the tip of another winter storm system that is expected to move across the state over the weekend. Some parts of the state are under a winter storm watch or warning as well over the next 24-48 hours.

New York Local Snowfall Estimates For February 15-16, 2024

Snow will return to the Capital Region and Upstate New York later this week, falling Thursday evening, February 15th into Friday morning, February 16th, 2024. Snowfall estimates for this storm will be lowest south of Albany, with higher totals falling in the Adirondacks. Here are the latest estimated local snowfall amounts from the National Weather Service.
