Yup, back on the dating scene. I know what I want and I refuse to settle. But, I also have never done this before...

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Well,  I really went out on a limb. I went out on a date over the weekend with a guy and 6 of his friends... Crazy right?

I'm calling this the Septuplets Date. My thought process was, I had my friend scheduled to call me 30 minutes into the date, just in case it goes south, and why not go and hang out with some new peeps and potentially network? It wasn't all guys, either. There were couples too!

When my date told me, "he was going to hanging out with his friend"

I told him "sweet!"

Shortly thereafter, he invited me out to hang with them. Originally, it was supposed to be just a few people. Then, when he told his friends that I was coming out, word spread fast and I was faced with not just one person I had to impress BUT five others.

In theory, this seems absolutely nuts! Stranger things have happened.

Needless to say, I hit it off with him and his friends and I am even friends with a few of his friends on Facebook. (He isn't on Facebook, so no stalking! LOL.) His friends were very intelligent, sweet, and caring people. It was nice to see them so protective of my "date" and their friend. We ended the night with Karaoke of course! It's not a party without me singing!

Now to be fair, he came out and met up with some of my friends the next day but we had an Octuplets thing happening. (I had to one up him at least) My friends were also very protective of me and it was nice that he was such a trooper to go along with it.

What about one on one time? Well, he took me out for ice cream after the Octuplet gathering and it was nice to sit, chat, and eat yummy ice cream while dreaming about the future and talking about our hearts desire. We even decided to pay for another woman's meal because she was sitting by herself.

Anyway, I am not going to just settle for anyone but for now, so far... so good...

Try it if you dare!

Happy dating, Buffalo.
