Last week I posted pictures of the last part of the Freedom Tower being lifted into place. Now we have time lapse video of it being lifted all the way to the top of the Freedom Tower.

The new Freedom Tower being constructed in downtown New York City will rise to 1,776 feet once it's completed, making it the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere and the third tallest building in the world. Yesterday the last piece of the spire was hoisted to the top of the building.

The evening of September 11, 2001, I was on a bus heading to work here at Joy FM, wondering how the h-e-double-hockey-sticks I was going to do anything like a normal program.
