My first job was going door to door selling Buffalo Newspaper subscriptions. As a 13 year old making 15 bucks a week, I was rockin'! Well, these days, door to door sales is shunned, especially in Cheektowaga where many complaints came to the police dispatcher’s office regarding aggressive, pushy and overbearing representatives from a company called ESCO.

In 2014, ex-members of the Buffalo Jills cheer-leading squad, filed a lawsuit against our Buffalo Bills alleging that the team and agents of the team were paying them less than minimum wage. The lawsuit also says that our Jills were required to make public appearances...for free! My co-worker Stephanie Mateczun, spoke with WIVB TV last year about the situation.

One of my fondest Buffalo broadcasting memories was when Van Miller, the longtime voice of the Buffalo Bills, walked into the production studio and I assisted him in producing a radio commercial. I assured him that I'll edit it with precision and add great background music. He commented , "I'm sure you  will, you're the pro." The late great Van Miller called me a 'pro'. Wow!
