Western New York is staring down a monster lake effect snowstorm that will bury parts of the area, almost entirely south of the city of Buffalo itself.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory.
The following areas are affected:
Erie
Cattaraugus
Chautauqua
Snow Showers will increase into the afternoon. The snow will start to stick on untreated roads as temperatures drop through the 30s later in the day...

My brother and I have been exchanging videos of our kids sledding. This is a regular occurrence for my son Dylan living in the south towns of Buffalo, but my brother's family is in Newport New Virginia!
