The 2013 NFL season got off to an incredible start in Week 1 with some amazing individual performances, a few upsets and several fantastic finishes. Here's what we learned from Sunday's games:

Eleven-year-old Anna Graceman will likely be one of the three finalists this year on "America's Got Talent." Yes, that's my prediction. As always, the show is a family affair in my house. We recorded it last night and watched it after Ryan's ballgame. The talent in Atlanta brought out everything from drag queens to dance teams, and then there was young Anna Graceman singing Alicia Ke
Last night was the art show at my son's school. Ryan had been working for weeks on a picture of a very large flower, really big! I think he was so excited because my daughter, Jenna, had done the same project back in 5th grade. We framed it, hung it in the living room and everyone who comes through our house comments on what a beautiful and unique piece of artwork it is. Now, it's his turn.

Every St. Patrick's day I wake up thinking about my Grandmother. She had such a huge impact on my life. Her parents immigrated to upstate New York in the mid 1800's from County Cork, Ireland. Nana, as we called her, was so proud to be Irish. As a young boy she taught me everything about her heritage, and I realized it was also an important part of my heritage.
