Now That the fifth month of 2016 has passed, we were saddened to learn that former Buffalo Brave, Jim McMillian has passeed away.  Western New York and our nation has lost many big names so far this year. Take a couple minutes to remember those recognizable people who have left us in 2016, or watch the whole video from the beginning.

Now That the forth month of 2016 is over, we were saddened to learn that Rochester native and WWE star Chyna had passed away. Also SUNY distinguished music professor Tony Conrad has died. Western New York and our nation has lost many big names this year. Feel free to take a few minutes to remember those recognizable people who have left us in 2016.

First off we must say that there has been NO official cause of death for Prince released yet. It will be sometime before toxicology reports give us the information needed to discover just what took him from us. But you have to wonder how a healthy man in his 50s, dies form the flu, especially when they have the resources to secure top notch health care.

I read an article last month in Us Weekly about the fact that Prince was writing a memoir telling his life story. Random House is set to publish this book which was due to hit store shelves in the fall of 2017. Will it now?

As the second month of 2016 has passed, we're saddened to learn that Niagara Falls native Denise Matthews, also know as Prince protege, Vanity has lost her life due to kidney failure at the age of 59. Also West Seneca lost community leader, Jeffery Sgroi. Robby from The Goo Goo Dolls let us know about the loss of former team mate Paul Gordon. Our nation has lost many other big names as well. Feel

She was born January 4, 1959, in nearby Niagara Falls, Canada, and spent a lot of time in the Western New York area, especially during the 80s when she was an inspiring actress and pop star. She suffered from kidney issues for years and passed away Monday, February 15, 2016.

Boy do I feel terrible today. I've often joked, "Why work out all the time when one day you could get run over by a bus or hit by a train?" Well that's what just happened to Bravo TV ‘Work Out’ star Greg Plitt. Sadly, he was killed Saturday by a train in Burbank California. Greg Plitt was only 37 years old.

The legendary Lance Diamond who appeared regularly at various events throughout Western New York, entertaining thousands, passed away January 4th, 2015. He was laid to rest on Saturday January 10th, 2015. Every Saturday night Buffalo enjoyed his show at Milkie's on Elmwood Ave. On Friday night, January 9th, 2015, thousands came to Kleihans Music Hall in Buffalo to pay tribute to Lance.
