The New York State Troopers will be out in full force this weekend as well. Last year during their STOP-DWI campaign, the New York State Troopers arrested 220 people for DWI, 246 tickets for distracted driving, and 11,648 tickets in total.

If you are arrested for drinking and driving you could get in some serious trouble.  You could face jail time, you could lose your license, you could get a higher insurance rate. Also, an impaired driving charge carries a maximum fine of $10,000.
