It looks like the New Year is going to bring some snow across New York State.

December turned out to be one of the warmest and driest in recent years for much of New York but that is going to change as snow is forecasted for parts of the state later this week.

Several different weather models are calling for a storm to move up the East Coast and that will bring snow into New York.

That should be some good news for skiers and snowboarders. This winter has been really dry compared to last year.

In fact, Buffalo has yet to get over 10 inches of snow this winter, which is way down from last year when two major storms impacted the area.

Most cities in New York are well below average for snowfall this year.
