It looks like we will have a bit of a pause in Spring across New York as a massive cold front will bring cooler temperatures and snow to parts of the state.

Just a day after we saw some record highs across the state including 86 in Buffalo, there will be a 180 in the forecast for today and this week.

Starting today, that cold front is expected to drop the high temperatures by almost 30 degrees. Rain showers will start later tonight and then will mix with snow late this evening. Snow is in the forecast for Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning for Western New York

The cold front will bring mainly rain and thunderstorms to Central New York, with some locations in higher elevations seeing a chance of snow over the next 72 hours.

Down near New York City, the rain and thunderstorms will be active through this morning and then it should clear up by this afternoon. Temperatures will be below average over the next 48 to 72 hours.

It looks like Old Man Winter is still holding on for a bit in New York.
