So, if you have not had your routine mammography, maybe this will motivate you.
WGRZ is covering the story, "Windsong Radiology continues its mobile mammography service at Walden Galleria with four events in 2020."
The mobile unit is now parked in the Walden Galleria parking lot between Macy’s and World of Beer.
- Monday, January 27, 2020 (8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.)
- Friday, April 10, 2020 (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
- Friday, August 28, 2020 (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
- Thursday, October 29, 2020 (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
Just a reminder,
Women are reminded that a prescription from their doctor is required... a Windsong Physician's Assistant will be on board the mobile unit to help. The PA can provide clinical breast exams as well as mammogram scripts on the day of the event.
The mobile unit also helps,
Women with transportation, wheelchair accessibility, translation services and those who do not have insurance.
A good marker is to start at 40,
“Beginning at age 40, women at average risk for breast cancer should have an annual mammogram. Windsong’s Mobile Mammography Unit makes it possible for women to get screened, as they should, on an annual basis,”
