‘Sgt. Pushup’ Supports FeedMore WNY: Tell Me Something Good
Patrick Parker, also known as Sargent Push-up, isn't from Buffalo, but he follows our Buffalo Bills and the Bills Mafia according to a story aired on WKBW-TV and wanted to do something to help the Western New York community...and this isn't the only one he has supported.
"You guys help. You guys are classy. Buffalo does so much for everybody else. I'm going to give you my all. And I hope people follow but donate per push up that I'm doing for the Western New York food bank," Sargent Pushup said.
Sargent Pushup did push-ups throughout the entire Bills Playoff game against Kansas City to raise awareness for childhood hunger.
He's hoping the Bills Mafia will donate to FeedMore Western New York in honor of each and every one of his push-ups. Those donations come at a crucial time.
"We expect that the hard time we're seeing right now is at least going to least for another three to five years. It's a long road. It isn't just one day a year. It's every day. We need the support of the Western New York community in order to continue to serve," Anne McKenna, Communications Director for FeedMore WNY, said.
Sargent Pushup hopes he raised enough donations that he'll be sore for the rest of this week.
