Million Dollar Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In New York

Someone in New York is now a millionaire thanks to the Powerball Lottery.

The New York State Lottery announced that one of the three tickets that won $1 million dollars from Saturday night's Powerball drawing was sold in New York State.

That ticket was sold in Westchester County at Chestnut Mart on Theodore Ave in Rye, New York. That ticket matched all five numbers but missed the Powerball number.

Saturday's winning Powerball numbers were 1-12-20-33-66 with a Powerball of 21

No one claimed the grand prize jackpot which means tonight's jackpot is now up to $785 million dollars. There hasn't been a Powerball jackpot grand prize winner since July, when someone in California claimed the $1.08 billion jackpot.

Tonight's jackpot of $785 million dollars is the 4th largest jackpot in Powerball history. The lump-sum payout would be around $367 after taxes.
