Places of Worship In Phase 2 Can Reopen With 25 Percent Capacity In NYS
On Saturday, Governor Andrew Cuomo discussed both the ongoing protests and gave an update on COVID-19 in New York State.
According to the Governor, places of worship (churches, mosques, and temples) can reopen immediately at 25 percent capacity in regions currently in Phase 2.
That includes Western New York.
Previously, places of worship were only allowed with 10 or fewer people.
Other places and businesses allowed in Phase 2 are offices (50 percent capacity), real estate, hair salons, barbershops, and outdoor patios at restaurants.
