It is down to the Final Four and one teacher from Western New York needs your help winning the National Hockey League's Teacher of the Year award.

Just a couple of months after winning the Teacher of the Month prize, 5th-grade teacher Mr. Penberthy from Pinehurst Elementary is in the running to be a big winner again.

With his win in February, Mr. Penberthy won the Frontier School district a $10,000 grant and now he hoping to bring another $20,000 grant home for the school district.

Mr. Penberthy is taking on three other teachers the represent other cities that are home to NHL teams. They include the New Jersey Devils, Chicago Blackhawks, and the Philadelphia Flyers.

It would be awesome not only to bring home that $20,000 grant money to the Frontier School district but also beat some of the Buffalo Sabres rivals in this competition as well.

You can vote once a day every day until May 12th. The grand prize winner will be announced next week and we hope that Mr. Penberty will be celebrating a win just like he did at the end of February.

If he does win, he would become the first teacher from Western New York to take home the award. Previous Teacher of the Year winners have included teachers from Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Boston, and Edmonton.
