James Holzhauer, the Jeopardy! whiz can't be stopped. He has raked in an unbelievable $1.6 million on his historic 22-game run.

According to James' Dad:

"I didn't think he would turn into a nationwide celebrity the way he did," he said. "That's a little overwhelming."

If you are keeping track...

He now stands behind only Ken Jennings, who holds the record for the longest winning streak at 74 consecutive games on Jeopardy! Jennings also holds the Jeopardy! record for the most winnings from the show, after earning more than $2.5 million during his streak.

James will get a two-week break to rest up before he rakes in some more daily doubles.  Jeopardy! begins its Teachers Tournament on Monday.

I was telling one of my co-workers last week that I am not a regular Jeopardy! viewer, I tune in on Tuesday's before NCIS at 8pm, BUT if James is clearly outpacing his competition or if he is on a topic that interests me I will watch.  It's kind of like rubbernecking when you see someone getting a traffic ticket.
