The village of Fredonia is in the running to win $500,000 as the winner of the reality television show, “Small Business Revolution," according to WIVB.

Fredonia found out they were a top-five finalist this week after making it into the top 10.

What would the money go towards if Fredonia won? Mayor Douglas Esseck explains:

“It’s been an amazing process already. It will continue to be an amazing process. This means that we’ll have six small businesses or not-for-profits be the recipient of $500,000 and some type of revitalization aid.”

Voting will now determine the winner. The voting window will last a week and everyone in Fredonia is encouraged to vote once a day on any device. You can find a link to vote below.

It's always special when a local town gets this much national exposure and it's even better when they could get money to help the town's economy.
