Vanessa Williams Marries Buffalonian in WNY July Fourth Ceremony

Vanessa Williams is an actress, singer and former Miss America contestant. Now she's the new Mrs. Jim Skrip, who is from Buffalo, NY. She first announced she was engaged in September 2014 during a taping of The Queen Latifah Show. Now Vanessa has tied the knot with Jim Skrip in front of their family and friends, right here in Buffalo.

Did you know Buffalo, New York, is Vanessa's mother's hometown? But that's not where her romance with Jim Began. She told People:

"You never know what you'll find and where you'll find it," she said. "I was on vacation with my daughter going to Egypt, cruising on the Nile. I wasn't looking for anything. I'd been alone for a number of years and divorced for 10 years at that time."

I sure would love to bump into her and Jim at Canalside while watching a sunset.
