Jazz On The Plaz! is happening tomorrow, Friday, June 11, at Seneca One Tower, located at 1 Seneca Street in Buffalo. The event will take place from 5:30 pm to 8 pm. JazzBuffalo and Seneca One have teamed up to bring live jazz downtown at the brand new West Plaza, which is off Seneca Street and Main Street. There will be live music, adult beverages (beer and wine), and various food trucks.
This event will happen weekly. The Jay/Sharptet band will be performing live this week.
We will be kicking off the series by spotlighting one of our up-and-coming next-generation jazz groups in the city. Fresh off a recording date for the forthcoming new release of an album, the Jay/Sharptet enjoys performing music with a focus on original compositions and arrangements. Inspired by ensembles such as the great Miles Davis Quintets they strive to approach every tune with a unique interpretation and captivating melodies. ~Jazz On The Plaz!

It's great to see live events happening again here in Western New York. I've missed live music. I was also reminiscing about the live shows that M&T Bank used to sponsor downtown during lunch. Those always had so many talented performers and it was nice to enjoy live music downtown.
