Looking online at several online shopping websites like Instacart, the average price for a dozen eggs in New York State is around $2.67. That is way down from the record high we had back in December of 2022 when the supply chain was compromised by an outbreak of avian flu.

We were paying over $7 for a dozen of eggs back then. We started to see the price drop in January and it has continued to drop as the production levels have returned to normal.

So wake up and enjoy that breakfast before heading out today. Just know you will have a couple of extra bucks in your pocket.
