Batten down the hatches and make sure any of your outdoor furniture is secured because another windy week is on tap.

Just a week after we saw dangerous winds sweep across the area, we are getting ready for another round later this week.

Starting tomorrow the wind speeds will pick up and continue to increase as we roll into the weekend.

As of right now, there are no wind warnings or watches but that could change as we get closer to the weekend. The wind speed and gusts are expected to peak on Friday when we could see wind gusts reach 60 miles per hour.

All this wind could cause damage to roofs and other outdoor buildings like sheds. Plus the change of power outages increases with faster wind speeds.

The good news is that this weather front that is coming through will bring above-normal temperatures for the rest of the week. We could also see some rain and possible snow showers in the mix as well.

While it will be windy, it won't be close to a record in Buffalo. That record is 82 miles per hour and was set back in 1967.
