This weekend parts of New York saw heavy amounts of rainfall in a very short period of time.

Much of the eastern part of New York State was hit with rain and flooding over the weekend. In fact, the rain came so fast that a flash flood wiped out part of Route 218 in the Hudson Valley.


Over 10 inches of rain fell across parts of eastern New York leading to major flooding around the area.

There will be a small break from the rain tomorrow before more showers move in for the rest of the week.
