It seems a bit strange that the coronavirus outbreak would cause serious problems for weddings but that could very well be the case.

According to WGRZ, because of the coronavirus outbreak in China, wedding dresses could see delays because many of them are made in China.

Many manufactures in China have been closed for weeks to stop the spread of the virus. That has caused production delays for bridal shops back in the US, including Western New York.

Designers may not be able to ship dresses until mid-summer, which means brides getting married in 2020 looking for a perfect dress, could be in a pickle.

Beth Clark of Bridal Chateau in Williamsville says brides who haven't gotten their dress yet might not get their perfect dream dress this year.

"It's the brides that haven't gotten their dresses yet for 2020 that worry me," Clark said.

"If you're going to custom order something, if you're going to special order something, you want to give yourself almost a year in advance right now because we may have some fabric shortages in the summer," she said.

Clark's advice is to pick and order your dress as soon as possible.
