Our first major snowstorm of 2024 dropped several inches of snow over parts of New York and now that travel bans have been lifted, you need to make sure your vehicle looks like this if you venture out this week.

When you get ready to hop in your vehicle and head out on the roads in New York there is one thing you need to do when it has snowed near you.

There is nothing worse than driving along on the 90, 290, 490, 87, or any other highway or road, and all of a sudden you are in the middle of crazy whiteout conditions because there is a personalized snowstorm right in front of you.

Yes, when you don't clear off the top of your vehicle and drive, all the snow blows right into the view of the person driving behind you and can cause whiteout conditions for them.

If you don't clear off your vehicle in New York, you could get fined!

In New York State you could be fined anywhere between $150 and $850 dollars if your windows, windshield, and lights are not clear of snow and ice.

That also goes for the top of your vehicle. Driving with snow on the roof could cause white-out conditions that are unsafe for drivers behind you on the roads.
