Buffalo Woman Charged With Felony DWI [VIDEO]

A 21-year-old Buffalo woman is facing charges for drinking and driving with a baby in the car.

According to Orchard Park Police, Calla Majewicz was in and out of consciousness while driving on New Taylor Road in the Village of Orchard Park on Monday. Officers also noticed an open bottle of alcohol in the vehicle, along with Calla's 18-month-old child when she was pulled over.

Majewicz was arrested for DWI, and having a child in the vehicle, makes the charge an automatic felony under Leandra's Law. She is also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Open Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle.

Calla Majewicz's daughter was turned over to her grandmother, and Child Protective Services will continue the investigation.
