The Buffalo Bills are gearing up to kick off the NFL season on Monday, September 11th, and we now know what players will be part of the coin toss every game.

While there was no major surprise seeing Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, Jordan Poyer, and Micah Hyde making the list, there was one name that kind of shocked up. Gabe Davis, who is entering his entering his four years with the Bills since being drafted in the 4th round of the 2020 NFL draft, was named one of the team's offensive captains.

Davis is a solid player and teammate but he is currently in the last year of his contract and those talks kind of stalled during the off-season. To see him as a team captain could put some pressure on the Bills front office to get a deal done. Being named a captain shows that

Davis is well respected in the locker room and he is someone his teammates look up to. Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane talked about Davis being named a captain during his later interview with the media.

All the other captains are players who have been team captains for the Bills before.
