If you like to volunteer and help out, you can get more information at Buddy Rescue's website.

This is not the first time that the City of Buffalo animal shelter has reached capacity. The shelter is run by the Buffalo City Department of Public Works.

The city has been working on building a new facility since 2018. They still haven't determined a location for the new shelter.

If you are looking at adding a furbaby to your family, you can adopt directly from the animal shelter. You can see what dogs are available for adoption on the shelter's website.

Currently, all the adoptions at the shelter are by appointment only. You can submit an online application or call the shelter to set up an appointment. You can call the center at (716) 851-5694

The fees to adopt the dogs are based on the dog's age, size, and breed. You can reach out to the shelter to get the latest adoption fee and other information on the animal.
