If you are like me and grew up in the 80s there was one slogan that as soon as you heard it you knew exactly what was being advertised.

Well in 2023, that slogan is coming back to New York.

The United State Army announced that starting this March, they are bringing back the very familiar slogan "Be All You Can Be".

The slogan was first introduced in the 1980s and was named one of the best slogans of the 20th century.

I remember growing up and use to hear that slogan all the time. The US Army is dealing with a drop in recruitment and is hoping that the return to one of the most popular slogans will help continue to get the word out about the armed forces.

The "Be All You Can Be" slogan was first used by the army in 1981 and ended up lasting for 20 years. The last commercial using the slogan ran in January 2001.

Now after 20-plus years, the army is hoping that a little bit of nostalgia will help ramp up recruitment.

The "Be All You Can Be" campaign was replaced by the "Army Of One" campaign in 2001. That campaign was replaced by "Army Strong" and then in 2018 by "Warriors Wanted"

The Army along with all the branches of the US military has seen a decrease in enrollment since the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, the Army had around 65,000 recruits but that dropped down to around 10,000 in 2020.

The Army is hoping to see a swell in recruits starting in March with the return of the "Be All You Can Be" campaign.
