Here are some of the more common tips for Surviving the Heat:
- Avoid strenuous activity especially during the hottest time of the day (between noon and 3 p.m )
- Drink extra water up to half your body weight in ounces of water daily.
- Wear loose-fitting, light-colored cotton clothing.
- If you begin to feel sick to your stomach, light-headed, dizzy or confused, it can be a sign of heat exhaustion.
