The countdown to Christmas is on and if you are shipping presents across town, across the state, or across the country the deadline is fast approaching.

Christmas is on a Monday this year, so you will have another weekend on your side to get those gifts to your loved ones.

Here is a quick look at the deadlines for making sure that your gifts get where it needs to be by Christmas.

THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE

This year the USPS announced that it will not impose any surcharges during the holiday season. This means there will be extra charges for delivery on the weekend or increased prices for residential deliveries.

UPS

  • UPS 3 Day Select®: Tuesday, December 19, 2023
  • UPS 2nd Day Air® services: Wednesday, December 20, 2023, or Thursday, December 21, 2023, with Saturday Delivery options
  • UPS Ground: You will need to submit the information online in order to get the correct shipping price and deadline for your package to get there. You can input your info HERE.

FED EX

  • FedEx Ground Economy: Wednesday, December 13, 2023
  • FedEx Ground:  Just like UPS Ground, you will need to visit FedEx's website to get the correct deadline for your package.
  • FedEx Express Saver: Tuesday, December 19, 2023
  • 2Day & 2Day AMWednesday, December 20, 2023
  • FedEx SameDay: Friday, December 22, 2023

If you plan on shopping online, make sure you are aware of the shipping deadline when you order from an online retailer. Places like Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Target will all have different deadlines when it comes to holiday shipping.
