A warm start to our Tuesday will turn windy and wet later on during the day.

A wind advisory has been issued for parts of Western New York as we will have a weather front moves into the region.

The wind advisory will be in place for Niagara and Northern Erie counties starting at 8 am on Tuesday and will last until 6 pm.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, we could see wind gusts up to 50 miles per hour.

* WHAT...South to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
  mph expected.

* WHERE...Niagara and Northern Erie Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 AM this morning to 6 PM EDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

 

The wind could also impact travel, especially over brides in the area. Plan ahead and give yourself some extra time to make your way around town.

Besides the wind, rain is also set to move in when this weather front moves across the region. The rain will move in later this afternoon and will be in the area pretty much all of Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning.

The cold weather won't last long as we have another warm front moving into Western New York. We could be in the 70s by the weekend.
