Buffalo has the unfortunately designation of being the place where President William McKinley was assassinated (among other unfortunate designations we've received over the years). Fortunately, that misfortune (are you confused yet?) contributed a very recognizable landmark to our city.

It's not every day you wander into Niagara Square on your lunch break and see a fashion photo shoot taking place. That this exact scenario happened today can only mean one thing: It's Fashion Week in Buffalo!

We’re pretty lucky around here when it comes to food. Oh, sure, the whole world knows about our wings and beef on weck, but Buffalo is home to a lot of really awesome restaurants that serve nothing of the sort. So for a foodie — or just a hungry Buffalonian — there’s nothing better than the Taste of Buffalo.

This weekend is the 3rd Annual Buffalo Winter Fest and Powder Keg Festival and although it has been a very spring like winter, cooler temps and even a few flakes are in the forecast starting Friday. Who would have thought a Winter Fest in Buffalo would be lacking snow?

The 4 month old Occupy Buffalo camp that began on October 1st of 2011 has come to an abrupt end. Buffalo police showed up in force last night and gave the protesters the choice of leaving peacefully or be arrested. A majority of the occupy movement left as directed but a few stood their ground and were cuffed and taken to jail.
