Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to summer, and after the long (and crazy) winter Western New York has had we're more than ready for barbecues, parades, trips to amusement parks and, in general, just enjoying time in the sun with family. And most importantly, Memorial Day means honoring our nation’s veterans.
With Labor Day comes the last hurrah before autumn rolls in and the kids submerse themselves in school work. It’s also our way of celebrating the workforce in the best way possible: by not working. Therefore, many businesses and offices around town will be closed.
Ready or not (and I’m sure you are), Memorial Day marks the unofficial start to summer. This means barbecues, parades, trips to amusement parks and, in general, just enjoying time in the sun with family. And most importantly, it means honoring our nation’s veterans.
Columbus Day will be on Monday, October 14 this year. We know this holiday is really only important to a few lucky people who actually have the day off, but maybe you'll choose to take it upon yourself to make it a long weekend (come on, we know you want to).
