The 2016 NHL Draft will be hosted by the Buffalo Sabres. Tickets go on sale this morning at 10 a.m. and are either $20 or $30. The last time Buffalo hosted the draft was 1998. NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman told the First Niagara Center that having the draft in Buffalo “honors the passion of its fans for our sport and reflects the commitment of Terry and Kim Pegula to the Sabres and to Buffalo"

Let's get this straight: old people are awesome. Especially old women.

More bad sports news for our city.  The Buffalo Sabres tweeted on Monday after noon Evander Kane will be out 4-6 weeks due to an MCL injury.  Do you think this will hurt the team's chances of having a winning season this year, or like other fans do you think this is a rebuilding year?  Call or text us and let us know!

Talk about goosebumps. This story gets me every time, and it makes me shed a happy tear. I hope that you are as happy as I am when it's all over.

Wow! The Buffalo Sabres drew in a record setting crowd of 17,115 for Friday night's "Blue & Gold" scrimmage!

I'm so excited for the upcoming NHL hockey season!  On Friday night, the Buffalo Sabres selected Boston University forward Jack Eichel to instantly improve the team and give this fanbase a much needed winning future.

  What do you do when you live in Russia, love hockey, and own SCUBA gear? You go under the ice of a frozen lake, and play hockey upside-down. It's not action-packed, but it IS pretty weird!  

Most of them were just college kids, thrilled to be playing their favorite sport in the Olympics. But the game-winning shot in the last 5 seconds meant SO much more...the phrase "The Miracle on Ice" was born...and boy if  you were watching, it was one of the most thrilling moments in sports history.
