Will this be the last hurrah for Summer-like temperatures this year?  With most residents already preparing for the cold weather ahead, pools are closed, and some of the lawn chairs and patio furniture are already stored but it's going to feel like Summer Friday.

According to NEWS 4 Meteorologists, Friday is looking like a day to enjoy between rain-producing fronts.  Temperatures will climb into the 70’s across the area under sunny skies.  For Buffalo, our current forecast high of 77° would tie the record high for the date, which was set back in 1991.

A cold front will roll in before most of us get up on Saturday.  This front will bring showers back to WNY by Friday night, with most of the precipitation arriving after sunset. Showers will thin out quickly on Saturday with some breaks of sunshine.

Sunday is looking dry, more showers will develop by Sunday night. Monday will bring widespread showers with a few spotty rounds of rain for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Thursday into Friday we will be closely watching a cold enough airmass to trigger lake effect rain that could mix in with a few flakes from late Thursday into Friday.  It looks like the cooler side of fall will be the trend as we head into Halloween.

FRIDAY: Near Record Warmth, Breezy, Mostly to Partly Sunny, High: 73-79, Rain Showers Develop at night, Gusty winds at 30mph.

SATURDAY: Much Cooler, Few sunrise Showers fading early, becoming partly cloudy, High: 49

SUNDAY: Partly Mostly Cloudy, High: 51

MONDAY:  Widespread Rain, a few Downpours, High: 54

According to Mike Cejka of WIVB 4 Warn Weather, as mentioned earlier there is a  chance of snow flurries in Western New York late next week, on October 30th, more of a trick than a treat just prior to Halloween.
