Western New York currently has six of the seven metrics met for reopening, according to the New York State Region Monitoring Dashboard, which is one more than the region met before the weekend started.

The only metric needed is one that is expected. It's the required number of COVID-19 contact tracers for Western New York.

According to Governor Andrew Cuomo via WIVB, Western New York qualifies for reopening but just needs to work with the leaders of Western New York to meet that desired number for contact tracers. Once that happens, Western New York can start Phase One of reopening.
