According to WKBW, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced funding for new pavement projects in New York State, including $42.5 million for pavement projects in Western New York.

If you've lived in Buffalo or the surrounding region for a while, then you know there are plenty of roads that need repaving here but according to WKBW, these roads will be getting repaved with the new funding.

  • The I-290 from the I-190 to the I-90 in Amherst and Tonawanda in Erie County -- $12.8 million.
  • Millersport Highway to Campbell Blvd. to Transit Road in Erie County -- $2.1 million.
  • The I-190 northbound from Buffalo Avenue to Witmer Road in Niagara Falls -- $5.6 million.
  • I-86 from Exit 28 (Cuba) to Exit 29 (Friendship) in the Towns of Cuba and Friendship, Allegany County -- $3 million.
  • Route 21 from the North Andover Village limit to Route 21/244 intersection in Alfred and Andover in Allegany County -- $1.4 million.
  • Route 20 from the Pennsylvania state line to the Village of Westfield in Chautauqua County -- $1.8 million.

There are also new pavement plans for Genessee, Orleans, and Wyoming counties, which includes Alexander, Batavia, Holley, Clarendon, and Attica, among other towns.
