Have you enjoyed the above normal temperatures so far? Well, by the end of this week we may not even hit 10 degrees across parts of Western New York. Dropping temperatures along with a northwest wind will give us a brutal wind chill by Saturday. So be prepared for an Arctic blast, some snow showers, and even some lake effect snows in the persistent snow belts.

The best times to anticipate and prepare for the arctic blasts would be Friday night through Sunday morning. That's when to expect the coldest air throughout our area. The low temperatures and winds will make it feel like it's just below zero with the high temps only in the single digits. You can expect advisories Saturday night into Sunday morning as that will be the coldest time frame, with temperatures below zero and wind chills at dangerous levels. Bundle up Buffalo.
