Channel 2 reports a storm system will arrive tonight in WNY.

It is expected to bring widespread snow with the potential for a brief period of sleet and freezing rain in the Southern Tier through Thursday morning.

Snow is expected to start around 9 p.m. tonight.  Snowfall totals:

will range from 3 to 5 inches around Buffalo and 2 to 4 inches near Niagara Falls. Initially, snow will be slow to accumulate in the Southern Tier due to mixing, but by the end of Thursday snowfall totals in the lake belts could reach as high as 6 to 10 inches with lesser amounts in eastern Cattaruagus and Allegany counties.

The temps will drop by Tomorrow afternoon and,
