Our mood shifts at various points during the day.  On weekdays, we're at our happiest early evening between 6:00 and 9:00 P.M., because we get to unwind from work.

On weekends, when we have more free time we start feeling good a lot earlier, around 11:00 A.M.

People were asked to name the top things that can instantly put them in a good mood.  Here are a few...

  • A good night's sleep.
  • When the sun comes out.
  • Getting a compliment.
  • Getting a hug.
  • Good weather on the weekend.
  • The sound of birds chirping.

And a few of my own ...hearing the words "I love you" .  . . sleeping in . . . the smell of evergreens...turning up the volume to a song which takes you back . . . and grandkids.
