Buffalo's 'Slow Roll' is heading through the West Side of the city tonight. The ride begins at 6:30pm.

WGRZ reports "The 10-mile roundtrip route will take bikers through West Avenue, Elmwood Village, Forest & Grant, as well as along Connecticut, Richmond, Delaware, Forest, West Ferry & Grant."

Slow Roll Buffalo began in 2014, growing from a larger movement that began in Detroit, according to the group's website. The bicycle group's site explains the purpose of the events as:  "...both the leisurely pace and dedicated squad of volunteers enable a safe and social scene in which riders ages 4 to 94 enjoy the sights and sounds around the streets of Buffalo, meeting community stakeholders at multiple stops and ultimately ending at new and/or lesser-known destinations."

It's free to participate, and you can complete a one-time registration by clicking here.

The next Slow Roll will take place on May 28 at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park.
