Diane DiProspero-Cook of the Spencerport, NY, area knew she had one favorite teacher at Bryant & Stratton when she took classes in 1985.

What she didn't know, until recently, was that woman was actually her biological sister!

Karen Cometa-Zempel also lives in the Erie Canal village area, and last month, she received a letter from the New York State Adoption Registry, with Diane's name, as they had both independently reached out to the agency, trying to learn more about their medical histories.

Naturally, Karen took to Facebook to look up Diane, and it turned out they had two mutual friends. Diane saw Karen's picture and realized, "I KNOW HER!" – it was her favorite teacher from a Bryant & Stratton class she took over 30 years ago!

They decided they'd meet up when they both got back into town after Valentine's Day.  But as luck would have it, they were both at the Fashion Outlets in Niagara Falls, and randomly ran into each other!

As they get to know each other, they're learning how much they have in common....despite not knowing each other for 30 years!
Oh, they spent their ENTIRE lives living 20 minutes away from each other!
