For most politicians being in the spotlight on a National comedy show wouldn't be a great thing, but for Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, it will help get more people in Western New York the COVID-19 vaccination.

This week after Mark Poloncarz held a press conference announcing the county's new COVID-19 program "Drink for a dose", his press conference was picked up by the national comedy show "The Daily Show with Trevor Noah"

The show used Poloncarz's press conference as part of a bit that showed the unique ways local governments are trying to get more people to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Erie County executive announced that the county has teamed up with two local Buffalo breweries to offer anyone over the age of 21 a free beer after they get their COVID-19 vaccination shot.
