There is no shortage of pizzerias in Western New York. Most of them are Buffalo-style pizza places, but also, some great New York pizza spots that offer up thin slices.

Buffalo pizza is unlike no other. It's got a slightly thicker crust; extra cheese; sweeter tomato sauce; cup-and-char pepperoni; and toppings that often extend out to the crust. It's sweet bliss for those who live in the 716.

The northtowns and the City of Buffalo offer countless pizza options, but there's a new one south of the city, which is offering up a new place for pizza for West Seneca residents.

West Seneca Pizza opened their doors at the start of the month, and offer up great Buffalo-style pizza, and a host of other food options that will keep customers coming back for more.

They're located on French Lea Road in West Seneca, which is where Chubby's Pizza used to be, and according to Buffalo Business First, it's the first restaurant for owners Trish and Dennis Abbey.

What's really cool is they have decided to keep the same pizza sauce recipe as Chubby's, so longtime customers in West Seneca will feel right at home on French Lea Road.

West Seneca Pizza also offers up burgers, tacos and chicken fingers. Their menu really hits home for a local pizzeria, because here in Buffalo, it's a tradition for pizzerias to serve up wings, fingers, burgers, salads, tacos and much more; along with the terrific Buffalo pizza.

I live pretty close to West Seneca Pizza, so I can't wait to try them!
