Wegmans announced that they have teamed up with the Erie County Health Department to offer the drive-thru clinic at their Amherst store from 10 am until 2 pm starting this Saturday.

According to WKBW, getting a flu shot this year is more important because of COVID-19.

Erie County Commissioner of Health Dr. Gale Burstein. “This is especially important if you are a caregiver or have people in your life who are at a higher risk for complications from the flu. Influenza can cause serious complications for people with chronic health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure, older people, very young children and pregnant women.”

You don't have to make an appointment as shots will be given out on a first come first serve basis. You will have to wear a mask while in you car when you are getting the shot from a Wegmans' employee.
